SKILLS

Children will learn and master the following skills

- Add and subtract within 20
- Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120
- Understand multiples of 10
- Compare two two-digit numbers
- Add within 100
- Find 10 more or 10 less than the number
- Subtract multiples of 10 from multiples of 10
- Relate counting to addition and subtraction
- Add three whole numbers whose sum is less than or equal to 20
- Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract
- Understand subtraction as an unknown-addend problem
- Determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation
- Use objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number
- Understand the meaning of the equal sign
- Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones.
- Understand that 10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones
- Understand that the numbers from 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and ones


PLAY

Your child will help a monkey collect bananas in a jungle. Most bananas are collected by solving math problems. Other bananas are collected through simple game play. The game includes a high score feature. This provides motivation for your child to improve. Higher scores are achieved by answering correctly. This provides incentive to focus on getting the correct answer.


HINTS

Educational hints are always available. They include different techniques for solving problems.
