2012-01-18Treats my e-mail like a text message and forwards it fine. It is a little slow, sometimes I use the iPhone mail app to type long messages.
2012-01-12Pushes gmail notifications quickly and well. I like that you can use different notification sounds too. Inbox is a little slow to load but this does as promised. Pushes quick notifications.

2011-10-22As Bikob said, simple delete and reinstall the app to get it "pushing" again with iOS 5.
