Tags needed
I wish there was an option to add tags to books. I read a lot of research papers and I need to be able to see from the list which papers were relevant, which ones are very important to me and what I should just disregard.
The search inside the book is also not ideal. It gives me a list of mentions of the searched word but I don’t see all of the highlights on the page, only if I click them one by one.
Otherwise the app is fine.
Books fine, no audiobooks
Fine enough presentation of books but I searched high and low and could not find an audiobook for the life of me, which is kind of annoying considering that the app claims to have them and the Apple support sites tell me to come here to get them
Are you kidding me?
I’ve been using Books since they first appeared on the iOS and always thought that skeuomorphic page turning animation is an amazing design choice. Actually feels like reading a book, but now it’s a freaking slideshow. Who thought that this was a great idea? If I want a slide of every page I’d use a damned Adobe Reader. At least give us an option to chose like Kindle does. Until you revert it back I’d better actually stick with Kindle. I see Apple wants to prove the old adage: “if it’s perfect fix it until it ain’t”
